Childbirth Education

As you prepare for labor and birth you will undoubtedly be confronted with information- so much information that at times it may seem overwhelming.   We enjoy working with our clients by educating and preparing them so that they are better equipped to make informed choices.

Every woman has to make choices regarding her birth; even not choosing is a choice.  When you don't educate yourself about your choices, you are choosing to place all decisions about your labor and birth in someone else's hands.   We want to help you identify your options so you may choose for yourself what will work best for you and your family so you may recall your birthing experience with pleasure.

Our childbirth education classes are an enriching, informative and empowering 7 week series meeting one day or night each week for two hours each session.  We use a variety of mediums so you will learn the information and have an enjoyable time as well. 

Topics covered in class depending on the groups needs may include:

Our group class sizes are limited to allow for more openness in discussion and personal attention including greater flexibility for the instructor to cater to each of the couples needs. Our classes are independent; we do not work for a hospital or for a healthcare provider.  We incorporate a variety of childbirth methods rather then limiting our classes to one childbirth method. 

We offer private childbirth classes as well as refresher classes.  These classes allow the instructor to personalize the class directly for you and only cover the topics relevant to your needs.  We will work with you to determine a schedule for classes that works for your personal schedule.  These classes are also great for anyone on bedrest as we are able to come to you to teach the class, allowing you to continue with your bedrest.

 We believe everyone should be informed of their choices and understand what is going on with there body during pregnancy, labor and birth. If you are interested in taking one of our classes we will work with you to make agreeable arrangements on location, topics covered, date and time of classes and also about payment.
